POLYPLAST SB

Aqueous dispersion of a styrene/butadiene copolymer

Because  of  its  good  compatibility,  POLYPLAST SB is  used  in  combination  with  inorganic binders such as cement, lime and gypsum. The addition of POLYPLAST SB improves the processability, wet adhesion and plasticity of fresh mortars. The dispersion has a strongly liquefying action. At the same consistency of the mortar there is a consequent reduction in the water requirement.

As  a  result  of  adding  POLYPLAST SB,  hydraulically  setting  systems  show  an mprovement in the following properties:

• flexural strength in tension, up to 50% (DIN 1164)
• adhesive strength
• abrasion resistance
• water resistance
• chemical resistance
• freeze/thaw resistance
• shrink/swell behavior

POLYPLAST SBis used in:

• floor screeds, leveling compounds
• adhesive-bonded joints and sealers/primers
• repair mortars, in particular for the restoration of concrete
• cement based anticorrosion paints
• gypsum-based fillers
• building adhesives
