VePOL VA 51 is an aqueous, plasticizer-free, fine dispersion of a vinyl acetate/acrylic acid ester copolymer emulsion. It is used as binder in the formulation for indoor and outdoor water-based paints, combining flexibility, toughness, durability and scrub resistance. It exhibits good resistance to mechanical processes, such as pumping, mixing and grinding.

Due to its small particle size, it has high binding power and gives a smooth surface without brush marks. Since the water absorption value of VePOL VA 51 is considerably little, its washability is quite high.

It will give the following advantages.

• Can carry a larger amount of filler due to its strong binding power.
• Gives a paint structure with a longer life time.
• Does not produce stains when washed due to its good washability and wet scrub resistance.

Since it tends to form a skin on exposure to air, opened drums must be properly resealed after product has been removed.
